Click photo to see better...(my name was mispeled, should be Madelyn)I had my first baby scan this afternoon, made us laugh upon seeing him/her waving hands and kicking off legs! What a nice feelings indeed. Had seen his tiny heart beating so fast, twice as fast as mine. She/he is exactly 13 weeks and 2 days.
This is the good news plus our baby will be due between 26th-30th September, which is very close to my birthday (Sept 28), I wish its gonna be on my birthday!
The bad news is, HE/SHE HAD TWIN! There was a second gestation sac towards the left side that contains a 16mm fetal pole (about 8 weeks) without a heart beat. I really felt sad the moment I saw the sac/other placenta with a ball-shaped embryo, whom didn't manage to grow and survive.
The midwife said that, this happens quite common here in the UK - to give life to the other one. So it was an infected baby, or abnormal for some reason.
Well, we are still lucky to have the one survived. One is enough to say, WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE 1 - THE MOST SPECIAL GIFT GOD HAS GIVEN US! I know he/she is going to survive. We've lost the other one, doesn't mean that we'll loose the other one too...
He/she was very active showing off to us.....

I had that in my first baby too...so the OBgyne took it out but before they did a biopshy(forgot spelling hehe) so my eldest now is on her 3rd year in college,tall and healthy...

Habang tinitignan ko ung baby scan mo, di ko maipaliwanag ung feeling na nararamdaman ko... kasi buong-buo na xa... parang ang lapit mo ng manganak...:-).. to think na sa September pa... Lam mo, very excited na akong malaman kong ano gender ng baby mo... kailan pwedeng malaman?
Madz, how can there be a 13 weeks live fetus and an 8 week one that didn't survive? di ba dapat eh pareho sila ng age? but you know what? you're still lucky na buhay ang isang baby, at baka yungisa eh not meant to live di ba?
I know how you felt nang makita mo ang ultrasound ng baby mo, pati ang hearbeat. Ganyan ako sa lahat ng kids ko, kahit pala pang 4th na, excited pa rin. Congratulations ha, and goodluck sa entire pregnancy mo.. Nasa baby book lahat ng kids ko ang kanilang ultrasound pictures, and I still look at it up to now..

Nakaka-excite naman yung ultrasound ni baby! Bakit parang ang laki na nya? Hindi kaya sya maging super baby? (LOL)Sayang, sana dalawa agad sila! But God always has His reasons eh!

I always have the scan in my purse so I can see him/her whenever I wanted to...
.... and about the other placenta with 8 weeks old embryo which hasn't got a heart beat, the midwife said that, everything if fine, and all the nutrients will be deposited back to my body...
I was wondering too if it needs to be taken off, she said as of now, it is not a big worry, since my baby is in another sac, so he's or she's fine without doing something to the other sac..
would have been nice really to have twins this time, but like I said, we are still lucky to have one survived! it is more than enough to be thankful for this blessing and the precious gift God has given us...
Can't wait to see our first child...

that's so cute. remembered my ultrasound pud hinuon. but yeah, it's sad to know about the twin. but at least, there's still one thing to be happy about, that the other one is very healthy and alive. be looking forward to more updates sistah.
